Now that I have a new computer I have regained the power to edit video and basically from now on I have the tools I need to do videos the way I want to. (as you’ll see, I’m still learning the settings on the new machine)

This one was recorded the night before I left Amsterdam for the US journey. Borrowing a page from the great MacDocMan, I ride through Vondelpark trying to explain Greenwashing. Then I take a little ride down the Kinkerstraat which is all decorated for the holidays.

bmtv63 Kosovo, the Month Ahead

Been reading about the next month and what it holds in store for Kosovo and the entire Balkan region. Would have made for an interesting time to be back in Belgrade around this time.

The following video is just a montage of images, texts, and audio that I’ve been taking in and evaluating. My g4 powerbook, after 3 years of service, is struggling with exporting video… It is time for a new computer and as always.. I appreciate tips in the tip jar.. and your moral support is nice too.

bmtv62 Inside the European Parliament

This was done on the fly as many people gave me dirty looks during a recent work-related morning at the European Parliament. Blogging and podcasting have taken me many places and brought me many benefits, but it is funny to consider this is the second time this year and I’m sitting in one of the chambers of the parliament as part of a blog related project. Oh and since I was feeling the pressure to turn off the camera, my point never really got off the ground. Alas… here’s the vlog anyway.

Despite the fact that the extinction of various fish species would be an ecological disaster worldwide, people seem to just go about their regular fish eating practices. This vlog is about the report and its connection to invidual choices that have global implications.

In Federalist Paper Number 10, James Madison warned of the dangers posed by majority rule or small groups of people being able to control a nation. On today’s internet we are once again faced with the tyranny of the majority in the form of popularity. Any site you go to values whatever gets voted for or “dugg”. Yet just like in Madison’s time, we also must protect against the tyranny of the internet majority.
