		<description>thanks for picking up this subject.
this terrapower propaganda in almost all &quot;official&quot; broadbanded news outlets is unbareable and it hurts to see how many people are falling for this next silver bullet aiming right at all our heads. even if it would be considered a bridge technology, like the nuclear lobby in germany tries to sell it, it would harm progress in energy-infrastructure-changes already overdue to happen. energy production has got to get localized and arranged to serve the actual needs be it a house, a village, a town or an infrastructure.
hospitals are kind of energy independent for a reason and i would hope most of them would continue to function on their backup longer then a blackout through grid failure might last.

another pitch for the german nuclear lobby of is the use in diagnostics/medical care context. there are two fascilities in europe that provide radio nucleotides and currently depend on a byproduct that could be harvested at some nuclear power plants in germany. allthough the fascilities have their own means to produce what they need and trafficing radioactive material through europe is a mess as it is, they want these powerplants to be kept operational in case the need for radio isotopes (for medical purpose) rises. in the meantime we can still sell cheap electricity.
even though germany officially is on it&#039;s way out of using nuclear power and as soon as 2030 the last reactor has to be dismantled.
some old &#039;60s reactors are already offline but it&#039;s mostly because servicing them, e.g. to keep up with security standards, makes them to expensive. they really try to squeeze every possible amount of earnings out of these doomsday devices. those that are still running are basically &quot;refinanced&quot; and generate millions of euros a day for the 4 companys running them under the somewhat scary sloppy state supervision.
i don&#039;t want this process to continue any longer then necessary. it&#039;s scary enough as it is.

it took so much effort to get people aware off the dangers of nuclear technology both in civil and in military context.
i remember as a child some grown ups tried to explain to me, what&#039;s going on inside a nuclear power plant. they said it&#039;s like the sun. like a tiny sun trapped in a strong building driving a huge steam engine. they could not explain, why playing outside &quot;in the dirt&quot; in springtime 1986 was not the healthiest thing to do. for several weeks at least and for developing organisms (like toddlers) especially. it had nothing to do with the sun. that much even they realized.
i just realise i kinda get carried away here. — as it always happens when i listen to your program.

so i break it up with yet another simple thank you:

 &quot;thank you, for providing nourishment.&quot;
